I. Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting dean through facilitating and coordinating in the Faculty of Pharmacy to achieve some tasks assigned by dean.
Ensure that provide high-quality, evidence-based, student-centered, theoretical and practical education in accordance with MOH & MoEYS Pharmacy curriculum requirements to ensure that UP pharmacy graduates as competent, qualified and professional pharmacist.
Develop and maintains standard course outlines, course books and reference books of teaching courses according to guidelines or policies of MoH and MoEYS.
Ensure that a standard and effective evaluation of lecturers’ teaching performance in Department of Pharmacy.
II. Duties and Responsibilities:
The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
Responsible for other duties as requested by his/her line manager
Responsible for consolidating reports from the Faculty of Pharmacy for dean
Provides the facilitating to solve some concerns and problems related to students
Responsible for doing some urgent work the three departments for dean
Develops and maintains in technical work
Responsible for reviewing the laboratories for the three departments
Ensures that assisting in clerkship activity
Responsible for teach or assist in teaching theoretical/practical pharmacy courses based on standard
course outlines, ensuring they are evidence based, continually updated and linked in with other
relevant courses and will develop higher levels of students’ learning.
Develops and maintains standard course outlines, course books and reference books of teaching
courses according to guidelines or policies of MoH, MoEYS as well as UP.
Ensures that work closely with the Faculty of Pharmacy and other departments in the UP to achieve
the university goals
Responsible for other tasks assigned by dean
Assist in developing research activities (protocols, research center, personnel, equipment etc) by
cooperating with Deputy Head of pharmacy, Full time lecturer and Laboratory officer.
Promote implementation of the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) to all laboratory’s instruments
(Installation qualification, operation qualification, performance qualification)
Develops and maintains in developing a new pharmacy curriculum which responses to pharmacist core competency inside Cambodia and outside context.
Develops and maintains a standard evaluation form of pharmacy lecturers’ teaching performance. Identify and evaluate teaching performance based on evaluation result and recommend effective strategy or tactic to ensure high teaching quality in Department of Pharmacy.
Strong skills in creating an interactive, creative and evidenced based teaching students
Strong English language proficiency: reading, written, and spoken
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently while also functioning as a member of a team
Strong computer skills: internet searching, power point, excel
Commitment, patience and ability to work under pressure
Strong leadership and coordination skills
Minimum three years of teaching experience in pharmacy
Strong research background
